I'm doing some research on poverty reduction. As far as I understood everything in the text, I keep in mind that education, job creation and an honest social-security system is of great importance to combat poverty worldwide. In my country, I believe that in this information age, people who are able to buy a computer should get more possibilities in online education and work from their homes. Peer-to-peer networking gives a variety of new possibilities for jobs. Labour is changing and should become as flexible as possible. Other important issues are the struggle for gender equality, women empowerment and a well-organised labour movement and giving a voice to the voiceless.

And a solution for the future when more and more robots will do the jobs in the future : A global basic income : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_basic_income
A global basic income for the future can prevent chaos and revolutions in all political systems. The website on this issue states :
The right to life, the right to social security and the right to an adequate standard of living are acknowledged by the member states of the United Nations in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Articles 3, 22 and 25.1).
Despite our economic wealth, scientific knowledge and technological capability,1.4 billion people on our planet live in extreme poverty, more than 900 million are chronically undernourished and 6 million children die each year unnecessarily because of this. This tragedy must be put to an end.
We believe in a society based on freedom and a free market economy, but the right to life should not depend on changing economic conditions or charity. Therefore, we advocate the introduction of a global basic income, which guarantees every man, woman and child the means to live.

I intent to do some more research on this subject, as an inspiration for future writings, or possible volunteers work in the future. Let's see where it gets me, at least it's interesting research and work to do in these times of economic crisis.
