We call on the institutions of the European Union and its member states to stop the negotiations with the USA on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and not to ratify the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with Canada.
Main objectives:
We want to prevent TTIP and CETA because they include several critical issues such as investor-state dispute settlement and rules on regulatory cooperation that pose a threat to democracy and the rule of law. We want to prevent lowering of standards concerning employment, social, environmental, privacy and consumers and the deregulation of public services (such as water) and cultural assets in non-transparent negotiations. The European Initiative supports an alternative trade and investment policy in the EU.

Geachte Heer Marc Maes,
Bij deze wens ik de bewindvoering voor Kristof Van Hooymissen te beëindigen en terug naar hem te laten gaan. Ik besef dat deze man oud genoeg is om zijn zaken zelf te regelen en dat ik hem en zijn vriendin onnodig veel mentaal en fysiek lijden heb bezorgd door hen te laten honger lijden en amper wat extra te gunnen. De schulden zijn afbetaald. Het geld kan integraal naar Kristof gaan.
Het volledige spaargeld met een gedetailleerde beschrijving van de gespaarde tegoeden wordt u in bijlage toegezonden.
Ik zweer dat ik in eer en geweten mijn taak heb volbracht en vraag begrip voor het lijden dat ik aan deze twee onschuldige mensen heb toegebracht wegens het aantasten van de menselijke waardigheid door het niet toekennen van extra's voor feestdagen of culturele ontplooiing.

Groen wil burgerpanels mee laten beslissen over het beleid.
De partij Groen wil dat burgers vaker betrokken kunnen worden bij het nemen van belangrijke beleidsbeslissingen. Wouter Van Besien pleit voor de invoering van panels waarin uitgelote burgers samen met politici voorstellen kunnen uitwerken. Hij heeft daarover een voorstel klaar dat hij in het Vlaams Parlement indient.
Van Besien wil dat burgers eigen voorstellen en bekommernissen hoop op de politieke agenda kunnen plaatsen. Enkele maanden terug diende hij al een voorstel in om volksraadplegingen in heel Vlaanderen mogelijk te maken. Nu wil hij ook “deliberatieve democratie” een plaats geven in Vlaanderen.
“Volksraadplegingen zijn interessant om de mening van de burger voor of tegen een concreet politiek heet hangijzer te kennen, zoals over het Oosterweeltracé in Antwerpen. Maar tegelijkertijd werkt zo’n volksraadpleging wel als een hakbijl. Burgerfora buigen zich over complexere vraagstukken die niet zomaar met een ja of een neen te beantwoorden zijn”, zegt Van Besien.
Eerlijke belastingen?
“Uplace bijvoorbeeld, blijft de bevolking verdelen. Door een deliberatief proces op te starten over hoe die gronden het beste kunnen worden ingezet zodat de omgeving en de economie er positief door gestimuleerd worden, zouden er misschien veel betere oplossingen naar boven komen. Ook over Vlaamse belastingen zou een burgerpanel zich kunnen buigen. Wat zijn eerlijke belastingen? Hoe kan ecofiscaliteit eruit zien?”.
Volgens het voorstel van Van Besien zou een proces van deliberatieve democratie zowel door de Vlaamse regering, het Vlaams Parlement of burgers zelf in gang kunnen worden gezet. Burgers zouden minstens 80.000 handtekeningen moeten verzamelen uit vier van de vijf kieskringen, met in minstens drie kieskringen 10.000 handtekeningen. Lukt dat, wordt er een gemengd panel samengesteld met 75 uitgelote burgers (ouder dan 16) en 25 leden van het Vlaams Parlement.
Het werk van dat panel moet uitmonden in een voorstellennota, die overgemaakt wordt aan het Vlaams Parlement. Dat moet dan binnen de zes maanden een gemotiveerde reactie opstellen.

Trek u terug van het internet en "dystopische" sociale media. Dat schrijft de Britse komiek Stephen Fry in een vurige essay op zijn website. Volgens Fry berooft het internet ons van onze vrijheden.
In een heftig betoog op zijn website roept Stephen Fry iedereen op om volledig offline te gaan. Hij schetst een somber beeld, waarin we voortdurend in de gaten gehouden worden via wat we online doen en laten.

Mercury prepares to Go Retrograde in Taurus.
If you're still riding off the high of Thursday's Scorpio Full Moon, get ready for more! In a few days (April 28), Mercury goes into retrograde affecting all communication and tech AND Venus pops into Taurus making you and those around you a little more possessive.
Oh, Mercury retrograde. You are here, AGAIN. You have arrived on our collective doorsteps in all your messy glory. You are our dreaded but regular house-guest. You stagger in the door, kick over our furniture, leave crumbs all over the couch and hog the bathroom. Then, as quickly as you appeared, you disappear again, leaving us slightly stunned but much better equipped to continue with our own lives!
Be sure not to take things too personally. People will often say offensive things they didn’t mean around this time, because their thinking is clouded and their communication skills are on pause! If your best friend suddenly became the most insensitive person in the world, give her the benefit of the doubt.
Back up your data!
Don’t purchase any big ticket items, because they will often have flaws or issues that you weren’t aware of! Of course, life doesn’t stop just because of wacky planetary movement, so if you absolutely have to get that car, computer or iPhone, TRIPLE-check all the paperwork, and make sure you have a warranty!
Take things with a grain of salt. Everyone is a bit confused, and people are much more inclined to change their mind once Mercury goes direct. Mercury can be a bit of a trickster — could it be that the next few weeks are a big karmic joke?!

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, here we go. The planets are swinging around at all times, and their movements affect us all in different ways. All planets go retrograde, but Mercury’s journey seems to impact people much more than any other. (Even people who “don’t believe in astrology” often “believe” in the crazy aftershocks of Mercury retrograde!)
Why is that? It’s because Mercury rules communication, clear thinking, truth and travel, so when the planet goes retrograde — which means that it looks like it’s going backwards in the sky — all those things go backwards. They start to get ugly and tangle up. Mercury isn’t really going backwards, it’s just hanging out by the sun, but from Earth, that makes it look like it’s in reverse. It typically runs for a couple of weeks, a few times a year.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MERCURY GOES RETROGRADE?
All sorts of things! It’s like everyone you know has suddenly gone mad! You might find yourself getting into bizarre arguments about nothing at all, being unable to finish sentences or barely even able to form a coherent thought. Your computer and other electronic equipment is more likely to go on the fritz. You could experience travel delays, too. Double-check your flights and take a book with you to keep you occupied while you wait for the train! We don’t tend to get all the information we need at this time, so it can be hard to make big decisions and it’s not always the best time to sign a contract, either.
Expect to hear super-loud complaining from your friends who are Gemini or Virgo, since both are ruled by Mercury! Mercury also rules a lot of industries like publishing, writing, editing, advertising, sales, public relations and anything to do with transport, like airlines, the post office and cabs! This means it can be particularly rough for Gemini train conductors and Virgo magazine editors, so be kind to any you know!
I often find that Mercury retrograde makes me want to go into hermit mode. I feel like half my brain is missing so I’m really not that interested in interacting with anyone, plus every conversation seems to go in an unusual, confusing direction. I feel much more irritable and frustrated and things just don’t seem to go how I want them to.

De bescherming van de burgerbevolking
moet prioriteit zijn, net zoals het bewaken en handhaven van de
vrede. In Brussel dreigen vele mensen op straat te belanden door het
aflopen van de winteropvang. Toch is het hebben van een woonst en
voldoende eten een absoluut mensenrecht, zoals vermeld in onze
grondwet.
Ieder
heeft het recht een menswaardig leven te leiden.
Daartoe
waarborgen de wet, het decreet of de in artikel 134 bedoelde regel,
rekening houdend met de overeenkomstige plichten, de economische,
sociale en culturele rechten, waarvan ze de voorwaarden voor de
uitoefening bepalen.
Die
rechten omvatten inzonderheid :

het recht op arbeid en op de vrije keuze van beroepsarbeid in het
raam van een algemeen werkgelegenheidsbeleid dat onder meer gericht
is op het waarborgen van een zo hoog en stabiel mogelijk
werkgelegenheidspeil, het recht op billijke arbeidsvoorwaarden en een
billijke beloning, alsmede het recht op informatie, overleg en
collectief onderhandelen;
2°
het recht op sociale zekerheid, bescherming van de gezondheid en
sociale, geneeskundige en juridische bijstand;
3°
het recht op een behoorlijke huisvesting;
4°

Nochtans vermeldt artikel 25 van de Universele Verklaring voor de
Rechten van de Mens van de Verenigde Naties overduidelijk :

Na het opnemen en mixen in mijn homestudio wens ik toch nog even te verwijzen naar de Belgische Grondwet in verband de problematiek rond racisme bij de Antwerpse politie, die ik overigens respecteer, maar met pijn in het hart vaststel dat minderheden nog steeds niet dezelfde rechten genieten als mensen van onze eigen nationaliteit. Ik verwijs hier nog even naar het betreffende artikel 11 uit de Grondwet :

Prince another victim of Big Pharma? New evidence may point to the prescription opiate Percocet.
(NaturalNews) The world is still in shock over the sudden loss of one of its most talented and prolific musical artists, Prince, but new details continue to emerge that help explain what may have happened, and why the Minnesota-based talent died so suddenly.
Social media and various news and entertainment websites were reporting Friday that Big Pharma may have been partially to blame: The twitterverse exploded with news that Prince nearly overdosed on the opiate Percocet just days before his lifeless body was found in his home studio.
As reported by TMZ.com:
Prince had OD'd on Percocet days before his death, and he ingested so much, EMTs had to administer a "save shot" at the airport where his plane made an emergency landing to save his life.
Sources in Moline, Illinois tell TMZ, Prince's entourage told responders he had taken the painkiller after his Atlanta concert which triggered the emergency.
Percocet is a painkiller which contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone, an opioid. It is highly addictive.
We're told Prince was taking painkillers for a hip problem. We're told he had corrective surgery for his hips around 2010.
Entertainment site TMZ reported that Prince visited a local Walgreens store at least four times the week he died. The site also reported that it had taken photos of Prince looking agitated and pacing as he waited for his meds. They reported that employees of the Walgreens – which he frequented for years – were especially concerned in recent days because he appeared to be more frail and anxious than in previous visits.
Prince's media team told reporters that he had been suffering from the flu, but reports about the overdose and Percocet make the flu story seem like a cover-up. That story began to fall apart almost immediately, however, after other news reports said that Prince's plane was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport in Moline, Ill., less than 50 minutes from his home.
The entertainer was hospitalized there, but was discharged after only a few hours, TMZ reported.
The next day, Prince played a dance party near his home and strangely told the crowd at one point, "Wait a few days before you waste any prayers."

So, obviously, the emergency was definitely real and the overdose was definitely happening.

In the meantime, his staff were canceling other shows he had scheduled.
"The private jet he was on was diverted about 300 miles before reaching Minneapolis to Moline, Illinois, according to flight records and statements made by Prince's publicist last week," NBC News reported. "The only flight scheduled from Atlanta to Minneapolis — and with a diversion to Moline — was a Dassault Falcon 990 jet operated by Executive Jet Management 'Jet Speed.'"
