"The musician hears directly how the pulse of the divine will flows through the world; he perceives how this will expresses itself in tones. Thus he stands closer to the heart of the world than all other artists; within him lives the gift to give expression to the will, the world-will. Music is the expression of the will of nature, whereas all other arts are the expressions of the idea of ​​nature." -
