Heartful reminder.

Srila Haridasa Thakur went on to explain that the holy name is eternally placed in pure goodness. The jivas who take shelter in the holy name of Krsna are very fortunate, because chanting soon removes the anarthas from their hearts. Consequently, hridaya daurbalyam (weakness of the heart) disappears.

As faith in the holy name of the Lord becomes firm, the prone to sin is completely removed. Then all the previous sins are dissolved and the heart shines with a positive purity. Sinful activities sprout from the seeds of sinful desire in the heart, and the seeds of the sinful desire are rooted in ignorance; these three (ignorance, the seeds of sin and sin) are the source of all suffering for the conditioned soul. Unable to bear the sufferings of His dependent integral parts, the Lord in His infinite compassion provides help to them through the process of bhaktiyoga by which the desire to enjoy the senses is expelled from their hearts.

Lord Krsna promised Arjuna that His devotees will never be in danger of destruction. If there are setbacks, He personally comes to the rescue of His devotees. The sins of the godly are wiped out only by the mercy of the Lord. The empirical philosopher or jñani can subdue his sins with great efforts and penance, but as soon as he abandons or denies the shelter of the lotus feet of Lord Krsna, he immediately falls.

"The Scriptures testify that whoever simply embraces the Lord's protection is an elevated soul, and their progress will never be hampered by obstacles."
