Knowledge: A Guru is expected to possess a deep understanding of spiritual and philosophical concepts. They should have knowledge of the Vedas and be able to guide their students in their spiritual journey.

Humility: A Guru should be humble and not boastful about their knowledge. They should be willing to learn from others and admit their own limitations.

Compassion: A Guru should have compassion for their students and be willing to guide them with kindness and understanding.

Honesty: A Guru should be honest with their students and not mislead them in any way. They should always speak the truth, even if it is difficult.

Self-Control: A Guru should have control over their own emotions and desires. They should be free from attachment and be able to guide their students without being influenced by their own ego.

Dedication: A Guru should be dedicated to their spiritual path and their students. They should be willing to make sacrifices for the benefit of their students.

Patience: A Guru should be patient with their students and understand that spiritual growth takes time. Overall, a Guru is expected to possess a combination of wisdom, compassion, and self-control, and to guide their students with integrity and humility.
