 ❗Devotional service (dharma) is so powerful that even if a person makes the most humble, insignificant steps on this path, in the end, they will attain the highest benefit. History knows cases where even a small service to the Lord has saved a person from the greatest danger.

❗❗For example, Ajamila was saved by the Supreme Lord from a terrifying danger and did not go to hell. He was saved only because, at the end of his life, he uttered the name Narayana. Moreover, when Ajamila pronounced this holy name — Narayana — he was not even thinking of the Lord. He was calling out to his youngest son, whose name was Narayana. Nevertheless, Lord Narayana responded to Ajamila’s call and granted him the fruits of ante narayana-smriti, the remembrance of the Lord at the moment of death. ❗If a person, at the end of their life, somehow remembers the holy name of Narayana, Krishna, or Rama, it brings the greatest spiritual benefits: they return home, back to God.
