"All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; Third, it is accepted as being self-evident"
Arthur Schopenhauer
The Three Stages of Truth
1. Ridicule: The new idea is dismissed, mocked, or deemed absurd because it challenges established norms.
2. Violent Opposition: As the evidence for the truth grows, it stops being seen as merely funny and becomes threatening, leading to strong resistance, denial, or censorship.
3. Acceptance as Self-Evident: Eventually, the truth becomes undeniable, and it is adopted as common knowledge, with many claiming to have believed it all along.
