New book by Charles John Alexander Jarvis.

Charles and I are in one way or another

total opposites, that's why we learn so

much from eachother. I never judge

people for their lifestyle. I try to

understand what lives in the minds and

hearts of other people. I found my

inspiration in bhakti yoga, as well as in

the Bible, the Torah and the Holy Quran.

May it inspire others as well.

The traditional bhakti has four regulatory

precepts called vidhi (from the Sanskrit root

vidha, to put in order), S.B. 1.17:24 and

12.3:18: the ban on eating meat, fish and eggs;

no sex outside of marriage (and within it

reserved for procreation); no narcotics such as

drugs and alcohol; the prohibition of gambling

or speculating with money. These precepts are

derived from the eternal values of the religion

(dharma), also called 'the four legs of the bull

of dharma': śaucha, purity; satyam,

truthfulness; tapas, austerity and asceticism;

daya, compassion.

In the present age of spiritual decay, the socalled

"dark age" (kali yuga) which we are

currently living through according to Hindu

tradition, which began with the passing of Sri

Krishna thousands of years ago, these "taurus

legs" have been severely weakened. Thus, by

means of bhakti-yoga, the society of a

righteous humanity is literally 'set up' again.

The observance of said values is considered by

all Hindus as the basis for practicing their

religion, which is officially called the Sanātana

Dharma ("the eternal religion"). They represent

to the Hindu the same value as the Ten

Commandments to the Christians. We are

within a small golden age within Kali Yuga

in which devotees or bhakti yogis from all

religions are still present, Gods are still

worshipped and sacred literature is still

available. Make this life a succes through

devotion to God, so that you can return to

Godhead, never having to reincarnate

again.

There Are Three Gates Leading to Hell – Lust, Anger and

Greed. – Bhagavad Gita, 16.21

May even the most fallen become

liberated and thus be saved.
