Inner Temple of the Heart: TRUTH Guided Meditation

Truth is a very difficult word to define. Even though we rely on it in almost every moment of our lives, every day and each time we ask ourselves whether if something ‘Is true or not?’, the fact remains that this thing we call truth can seem elusive at times. And in my experience, it is because there are two fundamental types of truth: relative truth and absolute truth.

Relative truth is the truth you arrive at based on your mind’s perception. What might have been true for you when you were 20 years old, is no longer valid. What might be true and real to you, might be completely false to another person. For example, to you, an apple might look red. But that same apple, to a person who is colorblind, will look green. Relative truth is in the eye of the beholder.

Absolute truth, on the other hand, is always real, valid, universal and constant regardless of time, person or space. Its source, as many of our spiritual teachers have over and over indicated, is intrinsic, self-revealing and not influenced by external perception.

As a virtue of the heart, truth is the result of turning inwards in order to see this bigger, unchanging, immutable Reality about your life, a situation or another person. This type of reality – with a big R, by its own nature and power, transcends all forms of pre-conceived ideas, past history, moral standards or sensory perceptions.

The absolute, timeless, spiritual truth inside your heart, as the Master Teacher Jesus the Christ taught, will strengthen you, heal you, and set you free from all illusions, falsehoods, and self-imposed limitations.
