Latet, the largest Israeli NGO combating poverty, is preparing to provide High Holiday food boxes to more than 200,000 people in Israel including families, seniors, and Holocaust survivors.
The economic repercussions from the pandemic have led to unprecedented needs. Thousands of families are struggling to feed their children and take care of their elderly relatives. Latet has added 10,000 new families to it's list of aid recipients which already includes 60,000 households and 1,000 Holocaust survivors. This represents the highest number of requests for food assistance the organization has encountered since it's founding in 1996.
The pandemic has deepened the hardships of disadvantaged populations and trapped additional families in the cycle of poverty. Your generous donation will help Latet give hope for the New Year to families and senior citizens across Israel.
