"My first mistake was accepting as fact that "growing up" was a good idea. As a society, why do we do that to kids anyways? We ask kids a million times "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I understand getting older and becoming physically mature, but most of the other hallmarks of "being grown up" cause stress and anxiety and an increasing sense of isolation. To make kids contemplate the specific economic function they will serve as an adult is some kind of child abuse. Okay, my rant is now over."
