Some Bernie Sanders supporters blame ‘corporate media’ for Clinton, Trump nominations.

Protesters crash media tent at DNC in Philadelphia

A group of Bernie Sanders supporters stormed the media tent at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
PHILADELPHIA — Moments after the roll-call vote to nominate Hillary Clinton to be her party’s presidential candidate, several dozen Bernie Sanders supporters marched into the Democratic National Convention media tent across from the Wells Fargo Center with one simple demand: Media attention.
Several hundred reporters trained cameras and microphones on the delegates and other credentialed attendees, many of whom had gagged themselves in protest, they said, not so much of Hillary Clinton, but of the media’s campaign coverage that they felt kept thwarted what should have been Sanders’ inevitable victory.
“Had the corporate media done their job, Bernie Sanders would have been the nominee,” Oregon delegate Valdez Bravo said. “Had the corporate media done its job, Donald Trump would not have been his party’s nominee.”
This wasn’t going to be a prolonged sit-in, the protesters assured, with convention-floor-access credentials dangling from their necks. “We’ll head back in shortly,” Bravo explained.
Though emotions ran high, the protest did not seem to mark any sort of larger revolt.
Asked who he’d be voting for in November, Bravo shook his head. “The nomination only just happened a few minutes ago, so it’s too soon to say,” he said. Pressed further, he added, “I will do everything I can to stop Donald Trump from being president.”
