STOP THE MADNESS: SOLDIERS FOR PEACE

I am often asked "What is Soldiers For Peace International?" I like to periodically respond here, for the benefit of new members and others who may not have considered the question.
It helps to know the definition of a Soldier For Peace: Anyone striving for justice in his or her community, nation or the world at large. That leads to the following:
SFPI is in one sense a concept, and in another a virtual reality.
Like justice, it exists only to the extent that we make it real. Justice manifests itself in many ways in the real world, but to truly know justice means that we have to make it manifest.
True justice is universal. All it's manifestations in the real world are shadows of the larger reality resulting from our stumbling attempts to realize that ideal. Our job is to keep trying to improve our efforts until we achieve a world where justice is merely a good idea.
Our focus is on ending war because war is the antithesis of justice. It is the ultimate end result of allowing injustice to exist. Only when enough of us reject the self-fulfilling prophecy that it is inevitable can we hope to end it through our dedicated and consistent efforts to achieve liberty and justice for all.
Your thoughts?
Stop the Madness is a collection of essays recording my thoughts during a transformative period in my life. It is about how the world became what it is and what we must do for human civilization to survive. The central task is to abandon the illusion of separation. Our children only can have freedom…
